Here is my helper: See how hard she works while at my day job?

Grandma Bonnie 02-11-2014 10:23 AM

Beautiful 'helpers'!!

Stitchnripper 02-11-2014 10:24 AM

All those kitties are just so cute. Mr Stitchnripper and I are petless right now - sure do miss our furry friends.

merry 02-11-2014 10:27 AM

precious kitties.

Sandra-P 02-11-2014 10:33 AM

So sweet! What pretty helpers.

Jingle 02-11-2014 12:25 PM

This seems to be the way most cats work. I have three and they are mostly in a laying position.

Jan in VA 02-11-2014 02:29 PM

Snowflake wants to see what's out there in that beautiful sunshine!
They're so sweet. :)

Painiacs 02-11-2014 02:39 PM

They are great helpers! Making sure noone makes off with the fabric and machines while your away!!

GingerK 02-11-2014 04:19 PM

Beautiful hairballs! My boys would love to cuddle while I'm sewing, but fight over my lap, so usually both get ousted.

Jackie Spencer 02-11-2014 07:00 PM

They are so sweet!

earthwalker 02-11-2014 07:03 PM

Our lot are just the same....dogs as well. I am out in the yard watering and tidying, or dashing around doing household chores and they are usually on the couch asleep. I tell you, next time I want to come back as a cat or dog....

psychonurse 02-12-2014 05:03 AM

Great guards, just protecting their territory.

lclang 02-12-2014 05:22 AM

Our dachshund doesn't like it when I sew because she cannot sit with me. So she tells me she needs to go out, she wants to play, she sees something out the window. Anything she can think of that might get me off my sewing perch. Just a wee bit spoiled!

anniesews 02-12-2014 05:23 AM

Love to see your babies!

JanieH 02-12-2014 08:34 AM

Your "help" is gorgeous. One of my kitties is curled up asleep on the back of the recliner and the other is trying to lick my hand as I type. I think that is code for "quit typing and pet me!"

Stitchit123 02-12-2014 09:04 AM

There are now 3 of these furry ones. And my TommyGirl is having a hard time training the 2 newbies. China sits on my lap and tries to stop the fabric from its forward movement while George is in the back trying to pull the fabric towards him. And poor Tommy is trying to hand out Jethro taps to both and grumbling then she gives me ''the'' stare. I'm thinking she does not care much for their behavior. They do the same thing when my bother is using one of the machines and it does not take long before I hear him saying -OK you juvenile delinquents are out of here and the door shuts and then George comes to help me and China will sit outside the door waiting for her chance to get back in to help. Hey he has to open the door eventually : )

Caswews 02-12-2014 09:05 AM

Awww how precious ... my quilt/garment inspector is asleep on the bedroom floor right now .. Guarding her sleeping Dad (as he works nights) from all the monsters and aliens LOL :-)

MargeD 02-12-2014 09:49 AM

Your cats are beautiful - maybe they are testing the softness of the pillow, although I just realized that Snowflower is perched on your sewing machine. Aren't they great companions?

LITTLEOLDME 02-12-2014 09:50 AM

I sure miss my furry helper, he enjoyed watching me sew, the moving needle was what he like to watch most of all. He never tried to touch it just watch.

MargeD 02-12-2014 09:50 AM

Well, a girl does need her beauty sleep and she's probably testing the quilt for the comfort level. She's adorable, and looks like she likes to get up close and personal with your quilts.

mandyrose 02-12-2014 10:06 AM

***
*** Cats sleep 20 hours a day.
*** They only wake up long enough to
*** INSPECT quilts & eat.
***
*** My Gus (tuxedo) does a really good job of this.

These beauties make me want to get a kitty again. It may come down to a choice between hubby and cat.

This is just a request that I have no right to ask, but I will. If you decide to acquire more fur babies, please consider getting one from a shelter? They need you as much as you need them. (Sorry, I am off my soapbox now.)

Retired Fire Chief 02-13-2014 05:35 AM

I love your helpers, they may not be very productive in the quilting end but they sure are big on the love end!

I am so sorry. He'll always be in your heart and memories. After a year I hope you have had the joy of adopting another, or two, or three! Each bring their own personalities and much love and joy.

LOL! They could all be asleep somewhere and the minute I shake out the quilt top to sandwich it....THERE THEY ARE!!! Wish you could see them 'help' me make the bed!
