Thanks everyone, we had a lovely time and thankfully John has had a good response to the chemotherapy which may give him more time, we are just enjoying every minute, it takes something like this to make you realise just what is important in life.....

More prayers and more hugs. And just as an aside, you do know that there have been medical studies (controlled, double-blind studies) that prove that prayer does have positive effects, don't you? So we'll keep on praying and sending hugs to both of you.

I finally got all my sewing things up at our little cottage, we have managed to squeeeeeze my table and machine into our bedroom so for the first time in six months I actually did some sewing... I feel a bit out of practice, but I have started a little simple quilt to get me going again!! :D

Hi K!! I feel like I have come home, nice to hear from you! John is doing really well, apart from last week he had a nasty pneu/pleu chest infection but he is doing well again now, so much so he has been digging the garden!!

We have planted up our veggie patch, a bit late but it is something we can do together, plus the weather is beautiful mid to high 20's here which we are so glad about!

Izy, it is so good to have good news from you and John!! In my mind, I am picturing your English cottage and a lovely garden in the yard. Glad you are sewing again. I love what you do.
