I am very sad for the people of Japan and especially those of this area. The stories are heartbreaking.

My husband was reading me some statistics yesterday. The whole island of Japan moved 6 inches and sunk 2 feet lower that it had been. The entire earth shifted on it's axis. Time was affected by a millisecond. This was a MAJOR happening for our whole globe! Hope that they can get the radiation under control.

All most of us can do is send them our love and our prayers. I do admire the Japanese people so much. There has been no looting, mugging or stealing of food and supplies as there was during/post Katrina. The people there certainly have a better upbringing than we have. Country first! A trait to admire (unless of course there is a leader such as during WW II that misled the people). God Bless them and give them strength to weather this storm!

So much pain and loss, keeping them in my prayers

Here are another couple of links to really make yourself aware. The first earthquake I ever experienced was in Sendai in 1978 and whilst it was quite dreadful at the time, it is 'nothing' compared to this event.

It puts a lot of things in perspective. I went through Ike and thought that was bad, and it was, but it was a garden party compared to Japan. Tears come to my eyes everytime I see pictures.
