Jazz for cows

This is so cute, the audience is so attentive; eventhough there's no applause, noone left in the middle of the performance either:

Cute. The cows seemed to enjoy the music. Who knew.

nivosum 01-06-2013 03:15 PM

Cows are very curious animals.

How cute, I loved the banner that popped up guiding the viewer to the Jazzforcows website.

But if it makes for a better tasting and tender steak.......then play on!!

Joset 01-07-2013 05:50 AM

that is so cool.

jeank 01-07-2013 06:39 AM

reminds me of the old tv ad that the best milk comes from contented cows. These cows look very contented and amused.

jeanharville 01-07-2013 01:28 PM

No applause, but they drew quite a crowd.

BuzzinBumble 01-07-2013 01:50 PM

Too funny! Remember those plastic recorders most elementary school students learn to play before they decide if they want to take band? My sister and I used to play ours in the yard and it always made the cows almost stampede over to the fence to listen. :o

glassdriller 01-07-2013 04:44 PM

And there was standing room only.

One time my daughter and I stopped our car to read something and a herd of cows came running over like they were so glad we came to see them. It was so funny and before cell phones so did not get a picture. They are curious animals. Our horses and chickens are too. Like having a bunch of supervisors when doing something out near the barn. That was fun to watch.

Sure we all know how much cows love moo-sic! :D

Quilter7x 01-08-2013 06:54 AM

Very cute! I didn't know cows liked music so much.

nygal 01-08-2013 08:02 AM

That was so sweet. I love the look of those cows.

chips88 01-08-2013 08:15 AM

the one cow kept turning his head, like to see if his/her friends were coming...:D

Rylandon3 01-08-2013 08:43 AM

Oh, that is so cute!

T. 01-08-2013 08:49 AM

I have no idea; maybe he knows the guy that he was trying to take the picture of?

roserips 01-08-2013 09:21 AM

Across the river from me neighbors used to play Swiss music. We said it was so the cows would give more milk. Who knows.

I knew a dairy framer who played music in the barn during milking time. That was back in the 50's so I do not remember what kind of music he played.

Grammie Sharon 01-08-2013 06:37 PM

This was really cute. Isn't there a commercial, happy cows make happy milk?

busy fingers 01-09-2013 12:04 PM

Maybe the cows have come to see who all these "silly" people are who have stopped in the middle of the road to play music. :D Some humans never give animals credit for their intelligence.

nstitches4u 01-09-2013 05:52 PM

That is funny!

My dad always had the radio on while milking the cows; they do enjoy music.

LynnVT 01-11-2013 08:04 PM

I have heard a lot of our Vermont farmers play Public Radio music, all classical, in their barns to increase milk production. Happy, relaxed cows yield more milk. Maybe jazz does the same thing.
