I don't know if we have any members from or around Joplin, but I just wanted to let them know that they've got friends here. If we can help, please do NOT hesitate to ask. I don't think I've been as disturbed by any images more than those coming out of Joplin, except for Tuskaloosa.
Bless you and stay strong.

I'm with you. It is so shocking to see so much destruction in
such a short time. My prayers go out to all involved.

I believe we have about 3 members from there. I had to stop watching the news this morning because my emotions are getting the better of me as I was trying not to cry for all those people. My heart is breaking.

CJ, I just let the tears flow. As I get older, it becomes more and more difficult to see anyone in such pain.

The same storm system rolled thru here last night about 1am and knocked out the power. My poor kids were up and worried that we were gonna have a tornado too so that doesn't help my emotions either.

I haven't seen pic of Joplin. Just north of Minnapolis got hit by a tornado yesterday as well. So, that all we get on the news here. The devastation was terrible. I heard report of at least one death as of last night.

I use to be annoyed every time my weather alert radio would go off and make that horrible siren sound.. Today Im grateful to hear it..My family took shelter in the basement yesterday ( Wanted to be close to the cellar/cold storage room just incase ) .. We were less than 60 miles from where the tornado touched down in Joplin...

Prayers to those who were in the tornadoes paths...

I have a nephew there. Corner of his roof is off & his vehicle
is trapped in his garage. They have water, but can't drink it.
His parents could communicate with him via cell phone this
a.m. HIs parents are on their way with water, food, sheeting for repairs etc. Hope they can get through the Nat. guard to
help him. Glad God kept him safe.
