So sorry for your loss...sounds like it has been a long road for him. The dresses are beautiful...and so are your daughters.

First, my sympathies.
They are beautiful!
And so are the dresses! I like the practical use over blouses.
Nice job.

Right in the middle of making the girls some Christmas dresses, my uncle passed. I made the girls some dresses for funerals in the summer, but they just weren't appropriate for winter, so I made them some jumpers that they can wear over their long sleeved shirts.
I am truly sorry to hear about your uncle, but those jumpers are awesome. The models were also just as awesome if not more.Us quilters can do just about anything in a hurry if have the right stuff.

Thanks! I actually started out as a garment sewer, just 6 1/2 years ago. I had one lesson and then the rest I learned from reading a Singer Sewing Dictionary and by trial and error. Then, 3 1/2 years ago I had to have two back to back surgeries, so I figured it was time to learn to quilt since I had 12 weeks of bedrest facing me. I had, again, had one quilting lesson where I made a 12" Double Nine Patch Block. The rest I learned by reading all the beginner quilting books I could get my hands on in that bed rest time.
