Just Colored Some Fabric With Crayons To Give It Some Color
1 Attachment(s)
I saw this done on embroidery and this fabric was just this beige and cream color and I wanted the flowers to have some color. I tried to hand embroider some of the details, but that didn't work out so well and then I remembered the crayons. I colored the flowers, then I heat set it with the iron (piece of copy paper underneath and on top). It worked great. Gives the fabric just a little bit of color.

I took a class on using crayons. It was suggested that you should first color with white and then color with the color you want to get a more truer color and then press
You piece looks wonderful |
Very pretty. I too think it totally enhances the fabric.

That looks great. What a wonderful idea you had.

Love the soft color you were able to achieve, yet not detract from the beginning fabric. Very creative.

Does the crayon coloring hold up through repeated washings?
Do you have to wash your completed piece in a special water setting...cool, warm, etc.? Do you use crayons that have a heavy color component like Crayola or will any crayon work? Thank you |
