I miss this board so much! My computer died! Hubby doesn't consider it a priority to replace it & that might be due to the fact that he is technology deficiet! Seriously he wouldn't know how to turn one on and even refuses a cell phone!
Anyway...my daughters fiancee bought this laptop and I'm sneaking in here to say "hi". I also want to thank all the many ladies who were so helpful and generous. I will continue to sneak on here whenever he leaves this glorious invention lying around. I'm only here a couple of hours every day babysitting for two adoreable grandchildren ages 2 and 4. They demand alot of attention, but thats what all those cartoons on TV are for right? Seriously I love spending time with them, but will try to jump on here when I can.

emachines started life with a terrible reputation, then they were bought out by Gateway and improved, and then by Acer..
I have had emachines by Gateway and by Acer and have had ZERO problems with any of them...

He sounds just like my husband. I was shocked earlier this year when he started getting on the computer and playing around just so he could know how to do a few things. But, if I didn't leave it on all the time I doubt he could boot it up. lol

Ugh have been there too many times. DH and DS just replaced mine with a used one. DS 24 is a computer nerd fortunately so I now have a super duper speedy puter and am back on.

Poor you! Keep watching the Christmas sales. There are a lot of laptops on sale now. Put one on your Christmas wish list and leave the list where it can be found. LOL!

Perhaps your hubby is saying that because he is going to surprise you for Christmas? Maybe you can hint at that possibility.

If $$ is the issue with your hubby, tell him he can open an account with Dell and buy it on time. I don't believe they charge interest but not sure about that. Dell is a good computer. I would not own anything else. They are workhorses!
