This just wrong.....who would even attempt this?

Lotsa stuff on that burger!
|
it looks gross
|
This is really sickening!

I agree Lynnie and Susie. Both my husband and I don't like those eating contests either.
|
I can see a group of teenage guys giving this a go. Especially if they had Mom or Dad's credit card. LOL

It's rather frightening.

I find these sorts of eating contests disgusting and demeaning.
|
That looks sickening,,,Just my 2 cents

I've been to this diner on numerous occasions and have never seen anyone order/eat these burgers. The rest of their food is pretty good, btw, but I'd not be ordering this either! And I'm usually there with a large group that consists of teen/young adult males - no takers!
|
First of all-I don't like meat! I like most everything else that they put on it but it still looks disgusting. No money in the world is worth having a heart attack over.

Don't like the eating contests. So many overweight people and they push diets on one hand and eat all you can on the other. Also, very tired of lack of good cooking shows on TV now--mostly cooking contests.

So true- we are such an overweight country!

I love her and have used a lot of her recipes, although I am trying to cut sugar out of my diet (and she uses a lot). I was fortunate enough to be able to go to The Merc last spring, it was so fun! Lucky bonus, as we drove away (the 'back' way behind the building) we happened upon a lovely little quilt shop. Perfect day.

I admire how far Pioneer Woman has come from a little blog to a big time star. I read her blog when there was about 100 people following. LOL She deserves it. Great family, dedication, gives back to her community, and has a great business mind. So many say they don't like her , I think it's jealously. She has made all the right decisions and it shows.

I have seen it attempted on Man vs Food. To me it is just a total waste of food and it is far from healthy for anyone to eat like that. One day I was watching the show and realized it just promoted over eating and from that time I have not watched the show. The original host was concerned for his health and stopped doing it - he dropped 60 lbs. It's not for me to say what others should or should not do - but this show really annoys me.

if it isn't an eating contest (which are brand sponsored, it is all about advertising) it is usually at come-on, part of a restaurant's advertising to set them a little bit apart.
Saylor's in Portland OR has been offering theirs since 1946. http://www.saylers.com/steak-challenge.html If it were easy to be thin everyone who wanted to be, would be. The rest is all in fun. |
That is just, yech:thumbdown:
