DH has plenty of firewood on hand. We have plenty of lamp oil and new wicks for the oil lamps (3 that belonged to DH's grandmother) Not worried but are prepared to be comfortable and occupied with hand sewing and reading. We'll be resting up for spring lawn work!!!

Doesn't Spring yard work actually sound like fun??

We got about an inch last night and are predicted to get another 4 or 5 today. We have a big fundraiser tonight for Assault and Abuse services. Snow was supposed to come later, but it is 1 pm and snowing like mad. I think we should compile a cookbook of roast groundhog recipes.

I think I'll pass on the groundhog recipes--and go turn my TV on. I didn't realize we are in line for another round of winter. UGHHHHHHH. I am like a lot of you on this board--enough already--it is time for some pretty days (warm days). I have set myself up to sew in my bedroom this past week because I won't make that trek out to my sewing room when it is cold and slippery outside. I have done a lot of reading this winter.

Of course I had to turn News 12 on to see what we are up to.. We are near JFK,, The last ones were horrible for the dogs.. Socrates is getting used to his boots, and jacket.. We still have mountains of snow piled up.. The good part is I have become a slug, and am spending quality time behind my sewing machine..

I am in north Texas, jut 30 miles from the Oklahoma state line. It was a beautiful 68 degrees here both yesterday and today, but the prediction is for sleet tomorrow, beginning about 11 a.m. and night time lows of 12 to 15 degrees.
Then it will be over except for the possibility of tornadoes as the weather gets warmer. Phooey, looey! froggyintexas

We're right on the border of the line between 3-6" and 6-9". I hope we get the 3.

Great idea to be prepared but I do hope it isn't needed. Stay warm. We are dropping 20 degrees in the am in Texas to freezing rain by afternoon. UGH.

My thoughts and good wishes go out to those facing yet another storm. Hopefully all are prepared.

In west central Missouri, this Sunday morning it looks like frosting on everything. It is 5 degrees, -11 wind chill. They were calling for an inch of sleet and then 4-8 inches of snow on Sunday. If power stays on, a great day of sewing and reading ahead. Everyone , stay safe where ever you are.

I'm right after you in Louisville! Thank God in 2009 we bought a stand alone generator after being left without power for 8 days in January/February. It was expensive, but worth it. So if the power goes out, we are fine. The only thing we won't be able to use is the microwave. We have a gas stove so that's not an issue.
