Kindle Fire

Does any one have one & do you like it & why or why not? I'm thinking of treating myself for my b day. Thanks everyone. Merry Christmas. Also what are "tags?"

I love my Kindle Fire. It had a few irritations on it when it first came out. But they have already made two updates to the softwear and it is working much much better. It was hanging up when you went to a new link and about drove me crazy!
Anyway, it has many apps, I like word games. It also streams movies for free--you will need a netflix account, or Amazon has a long list of freebies.I thought the screen would really be too small for movies, but it seems not to be.
I read and send Email on it, and of course my favorite is the reading of books. Probably the thing I find the worst is that the screen is not like the Kindle--it does have some glare. And the battery time is shorter than I would like it. But all in all I would give an A.

I also have one and so far am enjoying it. I've downloaded some game apps and they have quilting books and a few magazines that you can download. I am looking forward to using it on my flight to Texas in February.

Yup - I have one too and so far so good. I had the first generation Kindle and wanted to upgrade. I agree about the glare, and that the battery could last longer, but all things considered, it is a keeper.

Is the feature text to speech available? That is the one feature my husband likes on the Kindle that is not available on the iPad.

my kids gave me the nook color tablet after i researched the kindle fire and the nctab. it has 32G of storage, can be downloaded to a cloud, has a share ability with others so you can get a book and let your friend borrow it. it's very easy to hold has a great stylus, you can connect with the library for free books, has really fun kids book capabilities--you can record your voice reading the book, you can have the book read to you, you can read it yourself--which is great for little kids. my only problem is i can't remember my quilt board password so i can only open e-mails, not actually get on board. i have requested my password, but i think it got lost in the holiday rush. so far i love my nook color tablet! my son, however, is jones-ing for the kindle fire! there's something for everyone!

I gave the Kindle Fire to DH for Christmas on the advice of my 'techie son'. Only got to play around with it for a short time last nite. I am amazed at the clarity of the pictures/graphics. I did find the keyboard very touch sensitive, so will definitely get a stylus to use.

I got the Kindle Keyboard and love it. Does anyone know if i can delete library ebooks from my computer??? or uninstall them?? they look like they take up a bit of memory/space.

I'm interested in replies to this. I am considering a Kindle Fire too.
