Kitty found a good spot!

I worked on organizing my sewing room for a couple of hours tonight. Moved the rest of my son's belongings out to his new room. I swept/dry mopped, and rearranged some furniture in my sewing room. Planned some places for my stash and thought about where I'll hang my rulers. Asked for a closet door to be repaired and explained which direction I would like it to open. I even discovered that I actually do have a design wall in there, if all goes according to plan. I didn't think there was enough wall space but I put my mind to it, and there it was. My husband even said that he's going to set up his computer elsewhere, so I get the whole room to myself! WOW! YIPPEE!!! I've been waiting for this for so long. I used to sew in a tiny space next to my stackable washer/dryer. I had put a counter in there for folding clothes, and trust me, it was tiny. Then we moved, and there wasn't a space at all for me. I tried a few times to sew on the dining room table, but it's also very small, and happens to be round, so all of my projects would fall on the floor. It was almost impossible to get anything done with the animals everywhere (3 cats and a dog) and then I would have to clean everything up so that we could eat! Where there's a will, there's a way, but at that point I kinda lost the will to deal with the whole thing.

Anyway, I'll take some photos of my new sewing room when I'm a little farther along in getting it put together. Meanwhile, here's a picture of my kitten, Baby, who found a good spot! Of course, what's good for him is not so good for my projects! Oh well. Such is life!

His name was supposed to be Toby, but evolved into Baby. I think he's stuck with it. <3

yah on the ironing board. my cat has passed over the rainbow bridge, but I had to give her a fleece pad to sleep on while I was sewing or she was between me n the sewing machine.

I have one that will find some weird places to get, if I don't stop him. The other two doesn't do much of it.
Very pretty cat.

Cute kitty - they always find a special place to claim as their own.

Very cute! It looks like he wants his Tux pressed, which won't work since it's part of him ;).

I don't usually do this, but... If you're the praying sort, or the sort to send good thoughts, or someone who carries good vibes... Baby was hit by a car night before last. He's going to be in surgery today. I would be very grateful for good thoughts for him. Hoping to bring him home on Saturday or Sunday.

Holding baby in the pocket of my heart..please let us know what is going on

AllyStitches 07-18-2014 01:27 PM

Thank you.. He will be in surgery in an hour. My sister is an emergency vet and doesn't do the kind of surgery he needs but hand picked his surgeons for us. I just want him home. His leg is badly broken at the growth plate but he is going to be just fine once he's through everything.

Baby is out of surgery and doing well.

mike'sgirl 07-19-2014 10:59 AM

What a cutie! We have a kitten who the kids call "baby cat". Furbabies are so special.

mike'sgirl 07-19-2014 11:01 AM

I'm so glad he's ok. I definitely do believe in praying for our pets. I have never felt convicted for doing so.

AllyStitches 07-19-2014 10:25 PM

He's home... Can't walk at all, but the pain meds are keeping him pretty mellow. He ate some dinner. We've been hanging out on the couch. Our dog, Parker, has been very sweet. He knows something is really wrong and is keeping a very watchful eye. He knows to give him space but isn't venturing far from him. Very sweet.

My fur grand baby was curious as to what this is, does anyone remember these from their past? I bought it at an antique shop Friday.

OOPS, sorry no pic. I have an apple computer and need to know how to insert a picture. I reduced it in size but somehow didn't work.
