Today was the day for my knee surgery. I am at home now and doing well. Will be off work two weeks, but maybe I can get some sewing in. They were going to repair a tear in my meniscus but it was too mangled to repair so they removed it. Doc told my DD I wouldn't feel much pain tonight, but it will be worse tomorrow. All I know is I feel NO pain tonight and I have pain pills if I need them tomorrow. Anyway all is well and thanks to all of you for your good thoughts and prayers.

GOod for you. I hope tomorrow brings no pain and lots of sewing.

Glad things went well. And keep on top of the pain, don't let it get too bad. And hopefully you can get some quilting done while you recoup  Keep us posted

Glad things went well. I had a torn Meniscus repaired about 2 years ago. they took about 80%. Keep ice on it and keep it elevated. I had mine sort of freeze up on me around the 3rd day but got into the Physical Therapist by the 5th and got it all worked out. I couldn't straighten it or bend it very much.
I was able to get sewing in the 2 weeks I was off work, unlike the shoulder surgery last year. It was 4 1/2 mos of no sewing then!!! |
So glad that the surgery went well and that you're home and on the mend. I hope the pain stays at bay, but if you feel the need, don't wait to long to take a pain pill...
So happy to hear that your surgery went well :D Find a good chair and pillow to prop your foot/leg up on while sewing... and take it easy and be careful of pain pills and using your machine

Sending healing rays of sunshine your way.....
Glad the surgery went well and hope it won't be long before you're up and goin' again.... Take care Hugs, Joan |
Glad to hear it is all over! Now on to the next step - healing!
Hope you have a short recovery and enjoy the time quilting. |
Glad everything went okay. Remember that you're home to recuperate! If that means keeping your knee elevated, that may preclude any marathon sessions at the sewing machine!
Glad to hear surgery is over and home safely!
You pop a pill when you need it, don't try to be brave, and have some fun with all of this sewing time! |
Glad all went well and you are home. Hope you heal quickly!
So glad . Now to qet to the sewing to take your mine off the pain. That's what I did.
Pleased to here it went well littlehud, hope your recovery is swift and your sewing helps you along!
Oh good glad all is well with that knee and soon you'll be running around all over the place.
Feel better soon!
Hopefully your recovery will be fast and relatively pain free. Don't overdo it though.
I had that done and then the total knee replacement. I will keep you in my prayers. Like they say.....take the pain meds! Don't wait and please do ICE. That was my best friend (and still is) Are they sending you to PT?
Hope all is well soon. Like everyone has said, ICE and take your pain meds before pain gets you. I too had your surgery and then years later a total knee replacement last year. Both were successes. No more pain - WooHoo!! Do try and keep your knee elevated!
Get well soon!
So glad that your surgery went well!! Just think -- 2 whole weeks to sew whenever you want
Glad to hear your surgery went well. I hope that your recovery is as uneventful and that you are back into the swing of things soon.

Thanks for all the caring replies. I am in a little more pain today so I'm taking the pain pills. And the ice helps alot. I'm not sewing on my machine while on the pain pills but I have lots of hand sewing to do so I'm keeping busy. Thanks for all your caring. You're such a great group.
Hoping you're 100% pain-free and back to your old self soon.
hope you are feeling better and that the pain meds are keeping you from feeling any pain.
