Knitting socks

Hello everyone: I was wondering how many of you knit socks? I am interested in learning...I used to knit afghans years ago but never tried socks...are they hard to learn how to make? Also at JoAnn's I seen the sock loom...has anyone used it? Thanks for all your help...Elaine

I knit socks compulsively! they are not hard at all, and provide wonderfully quick projects that you can showcase new stitch patterns with. Go to the online magazine knitty(dot)com and look through the patterns there. I knit all mine on tiny 12" circular size 0's or 1's for most of the sock and then switch to double points when doing the heel and toes. Great on the go projects!

Socks are not hard. I use the free patterns the yarn company's supply. I like the selve striping yard and and double pointed needles. Give it a try and have some fun.

I've always wanted to try knitting sicks, but have not had the courage to try them. I'm interested in seeing other answers on this thread. Thanks, TFQuilter for posting. :o)
