A week ago my computer screen went black. A pop up came up that said that my hard drive was gone and "click here" to get it restored. Stupid me, I clicked on that and they wanted bucks for fixing it. Then my sister told me to contact Microsoft.I was connected to someone in India at first and because of my lack of hearing too well, it was difficult to hear and understand them.
I called back and spoke to someone in Manila. They were SOOOOOOOOO helpful and friendly and after a while, all is normal. They had told me any time you get a pop up (and mine are SUPPOSE to be blocked) it is a precursor to a virus coming. Beware my friends and I hope it doesn't happen to you! So thank you Microsoft and those WONDERFUL techs in Manila!

Never thought to call Microsoft folks. I called Dell and they couldn't help me at all. Ended up taking it to a computer "doc" to get it up and working, but lost a lot of files. :-(
