Must try this . Living alone I'm always throwing fruit and veg away.

I put wilted, limp celery, peppers, cucumbers and carrots into a bowl of water and place in the fridge - this will rehydrate them and they'll be crispy again

well, mine lasted longer there.....another one this morning...still black skin, but firm fruit and tasty...like right off the tree....did you know to not get those little strings, peel from the bottom up...watch monkeys..that's how they do it! Enough! Need more coffee!

Aluminum foil works well for celery also!

Now that's a good one...I do put a damp paper towel on the root of it, after cutting off the brown edge and store that way...the plant will wick that moisture and stay crispy too.....

I always keep my bananas in the fridge in a plastic bag. My mother did this too.

Thank you for these practical tips!! I probably throw out more bananas than we eat due to them ripening too much to be desirable - mouth feel.

Use them for banana bread or banana pudding.

I just purchased bananas this morning. Going to do that now.
