It could be cutting, or sewing, or both. You basically have to disect each part of the process to see where the problem is.
Would like to suggest a book by Sally Collins titled "Mastering Precision Piecing", and/or her DVD "Sally Collins teaches you precision piecing". I recently purchased both and I'm running samples. |
When I'm having a hard time with seams, I use Elmer's washable school glue. I take the pieces to my ironing board and place a tiny dot of glue in the seam allowance, making sure the seams match, and press with my iron. The iron sets the glue. Once the seams are all matched, I take it to my sewing machine and sew. If the glue needs to be loosened, a drop of water on my fingertip is enough to take the seam apart again.

Yes, drink the Sally Collins Kool-aid. Her first book has a lot of the same information, and is sometimes cheaper. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/157...sr=8-1&seller= |
I have seen Sally Collins on TV a few times. I do admire her ability to master the precision! I'm going to put her book on my list.
