That's exactly what I thought.

Also, I showed it to my son, and he said the first thing I thought: the kid must be repeating what he hears his father say. Interesting that that occurred to both of us.[/QUOTE]

The mother of this little guy has to be on her toes - and starting right now! It sounds to me like he's imitating his father (or male figure) during their "serious discussions". Children should be out of ear shot during these times. Littlle Guy needs to learn discipline. He's too smart for his own good. Yes, fast forward 10 years . . . and then what? I wonder what Judge Judy would say!

My kids wouldn't have dared...enroll him in acting classes, but nip the familiarity, honey business, and debating thing in the bud. As others have mentioned, it may be cute at three, but as the child gets older it will become far less cute.

This was posted on Facebook, too, as "adorable" (I disagree) and I commented there, as well. By arguing with him, she also taught him that his interrupting, condescending, and disrespecting behavior will be tolerated. I suspect he learned this attitude toward his mother--assuming she is his mother--from someone else....possibly his father. He's clearly heard that "Linda, Linda, Linda!" somewhere before. She didn't have to punish but should have just walked away.....imo, of course. This may look cute at 3 but will be a nightmare when he's 13.
