Litte Girl Petal Dress
3 Attachment(s)
I was working on a little girl dress and the instructions were so bad, and unnecessarily complicated, that I finally decided it wasn't worth my time or frustration so I abandoned it. But I had the bug and still wanted to make something so I dug out one of my favorite patterns.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this pattern! It's called the Petal Dress and is a SewBaby pattern. I have made quite a few of these. They are very easy, the instructions are excellent, and they are just too darn cute. I purchased the purple curly Q fabric from a board member and thought the dotted fabric was a good compliment. I put snaps on the front rather than buttons. If you like snaps, Snap Source is a great site and they have every type and color of snap available. The purple dress is for the daughter of one of my nephew's. The Disney dress I just made for the heck of it and eventually I gave it to one of my coworkers. The family was going to Disneyland and it was the perfect size for their daughter. She received a lot of attention when people noticed her dress and, of course, she thought she was the bomb! |
Super Cute.

Those are really cute.

adorable! I love making baby and little kid clothes, mostly girl but there are some fun things for little boys too.
|
Those are so cute and I'm smiling just thinking about a little girl in Disneyland wearing the second one!

She wasn't the "Bomb"!

Adorable! I can see why the little Disney princess dress got a lot of attention. The fussy cutting of the princess's in the petals is perfect. I have a little granddaughter due any day now. I think I will have to make one similar to her from me. Thanks for all the info on the pattern and snaps. (At least I have lots of time to turn out a cute dress. I don't have any dress making experience.)
Both dresses are awesome. I just love the color purple. Like a lovely flower in the garden. You are one talented Auntie and Friend! |

Darling dresses!

Beautiful! I wish my little girl still loved dresses ... although it would look great in the office with a blazer!
|
Those are so cute. Where did you get the pattern?
|
Those are sew cute! I love that pattern and have made dresses for my granddaughters. You have inspired me to dig it out and make more!

They look like they would be fun to wear, too. |

I make a lot of dresses for my four year old Granddaughter and I would love to make one for her. I think I can do it without a pattern, I am sure going to try. Yours are so darling.
