When you go thread tools make sure you have not already posted on that thread. If you have posted on the thread, then the option that will come up is to unsubscribe. If you do this then look at tools you will see a selection subscribe, then if you look at that you will have an opton for placing it in a bookmark folder. I believe the subscribe action also subscribes you to that thread, but if you want to be sure them after bookmarking the thread just go post on it and you will have accomplished both. If you look in your bookmarks it should show up there.
