For the little tiny ones!!!
4 Attachment(s)
I have made more shopping bags to give away as everbody seems to be in search for them since no more plastic bags are given away. We have also made some at our church Ladies group for our members and then I also spent my time with making those 2 littles ones for babies. Didn't have a pattern but tried to figure it out by just looking at the picture. The first one (tartan) didn't turn out too bad but it needed a few improvements and the 2nd one turned out quite good.
I'll also join a couple of pictures of the bags, 2 of so many others.... Thanks for looking!!! <3 |
Well done!

Those are really cute.

So cute, love the dolls

Your bags are fantastic! Cute, cute little ones! We use lots of totes of all sizes here.
But ... No more plastic bags!?!! Please don't tell our gov't that! Here we use those plastic bags for everything... grocery store bags... stuffing for pillows for dogs... garbage bags (our city demands that we use plastic bags to throw away our trash) ... etc. etc. It would be just like our gov't to outlaw them without thinking of the consequences of doing that to us! |
Well our government was thinking what WE are doing to the environment when plastic bags end up in the ocean 😁 and yes I know, it takes a bit to get used to live without them but it’s not quite that hard 😉

Your projects are all so cute!!!

Nice bags and dolls. We take our plastic bags back to the store for recycling.
|
The dolls are adorable and will bring smiles to the little ones. The cloth bags are prettier and hold more than the plastic ones.
|
I have been using my own bags since the 1990's. I get very few plastic bags, those that I do are reused.
|
It seem as I have enough shopping bags. My problem is remembering to bring them in with me when I go shopping. It's an environmental thing, just something we need to get used to.

Your bag are beautiful, in California we are charged 10 cents a bag, plastic or paper. I have made a few but they are just functional and not very pretty. When I empty the bag I place them over my purse so when I go to the car I will leave them there. Even like that I am sometimes half way to the door of the store when I remember and go back to the car for the bags.

About 30 years ago, someone gifted me with yards of denim. I made grocery bags of varying sizes. They reside in my car. I have to remind bag boys sometimes not to fill them to the top so I can get them into the house, but I don't like plastic bags and always return them to our grocery store which has a recycle bin.

I find getting used to bringing my own bags into the store is frustrating. I understand the reason why it is GREEN to use your own bags, but I just can seem to get my brain to remember them. So I end up having my groceries put back in my shopping basket and then filling up my bags when I get to my car.
I actually purchased some reusable bags on-line, and then chastised myself for not making my own bags. After all, this would be a perfect project for all that fabric that you bought and now look at and think, "what was I thinking?" Now that I am limited to how much weight I can pick up/carry, I need to make my own bags that don't hold as much. So off to my stash I will go and find those ugly fabrics that I just had to have. |
