When I was a wee lass.... many years ago, I had a little 7"-8" doll very similar to the one pictured below by moodymama. My doll was sleeping and had a little button nose (out of fabric--not a button). I don't recall the doll's cap having a tail. The wrist and ankles had little satin bows tie around them.

I don't have a name for the doll and all my attempts of finding it via the Internet have failed. I can't find the doll under Moodymama either.

Does anyone recall this doll and it's name?

Thank you.

does she have a body or is the little blanket her body? I know i've seen baby ones like this that have a blanket for the body. either babies or animals, like lambs. in catalogs.

She had a cloth body but not jointed. No shoes. Her feet were rounded on the ends with fabric covering.

Search VTG 1950's Shackman Sleeping Baby Doll w/ Original Box on ebay. Sorry, can't do a link. Is this the doll?

Yes, I believe that's her. How did you find her so fast???

Mine was pink. I don't remember her being so anorexic though. Must have been the wear and tear. :-)

Thanks. Now I know what I'm looking for. Hopefully I can find one in better shape.

I found this on Etsy, but was too late.

LOL, everyone that knows me calls when they need to find things on the internet (and I've found some really oddball stuff!). It took me almost a half hour to find the ebay listing for your little doll because I didn't know what her name was, but you said she was sleeping and had ribbons on her ankles and a cap, so that's what I went with. I'm glad she was the right one and hope you manage to find one in good shape to buy. Good luck!
