Does anyone here have a Elna 9500 sewing/embroidery quilting machine here ? If so How do you like it ? and if not what type do you recommend ? Bernina, Janome, Singer. I have looked up the Elna and it shows all the types of quilting that it does and I do like that feature. What can you tell me. Thank you

Things to look for and consider:
1) how close are you to a dealer? 2) what's the routine maintenance expenses? 3) do you like the dealer? Does their registered repair guy have a good reputation? 4) Does the dealer include classes? Really think about what you plan to do with the embroidery function. I only ask because my dh surprised me one year with a DSE. What a sweet hubby. But I very seldom use the embroidery function and I have to relearn how to do it everytime. I find the changing threads so annoying. But that's just me. |
I prefer separate machines for sewing, embroidery/quilting.
I have a Janome for finishing a quilt which is to thick to use on my other machine. I have a Brother quilting machine and a Brother embroidery machine which is strictly embroidery. |
I have a singer XL1000 and XXL6000. Love them both

I have a Janome 10001 Love it for embroidery and general sewing.

Thank you for your comments. I have a singer sewing machine now I am wondering if I should stay with the same make. Still doing my research. I really love the thought of embroidery, I feel I will get lots of use from the features.I already use the little bit that I have on the machine I have now.
