Looking for a website for teddy bear making supplies

I used to use a site called Labour of Love, but it doesn't exist anymore. I would love to find a site that has sells mohair, joints, patterns, etc. so I can start making teddy bears again. Does anyone know of any good websites?

You might check CR's Crafts. They have tons of stuff for different crafts and I know they used to carry joints. You could also check Dollmakers Journey for the mohair. Also, maybe AC Moore or Michaels.

don't have a catalog, but try Newark dressmakers supply.

i'm watching this thread, I make teddy bears to donate around the holidays, the prices of the joints and eyes are making it prohibited.

Thanks for the replies. I found CR's Crafts yesterday when I was searching, that site looks pretty good. I also found a couple of european sites that might do if I have the money and need something special. Right now I have enough mohair, joints, eyes and excelsior to make two bears. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing a really good site.

Have you tried making the joints with buttons? You sew a button on the inside and you sew a button on the outside of the arm/leg and it works pretty good and looks cute on cotton fabric.

When I made bears, this site had the best mohair and glass eyes.

Edinburg imports is a great place for these supplies. I used to order from them. I don't make bears any more.

My husband used to make joints for me by cutting circles from 1/4" masonite. I used a small bolt with lock nuts to hold them together.

There is a good tutorial at this site for using covered buttons. I have used this method on dolls and it really works. http://JudisDolls.com
