Hello all my quilty friends.... Thought this would be a good place to get all your opinions and recommendations on purchasing a wet mop. I recently moved from a 4 BR Home into a small 2 BR Apartment (love it) alot less to clean ! :-) However, I have a small kitchen floor, approx. 5 x 10 and two even smaller bathroom floors... All tile. There seems to be alot of small wet mops out there... And I would like to know what you all have tried and which one you like the best. Size and ease of use are important to me.

If you are still able to bend over or get down on your knees - I've found using a damp micro-fiber cloth works as well as anything for wiping up my vinyl kitchen floor.

It's almost dry when I'm done - which is a good thing.

i dampen my swiffer cleaning cloth and that works fine for me for small spaces. but swiffer now makes a specific mop

I just know that wet mops can leave your floor WET so be careful as my daughter slipped and fell - just sore wrist! I sometimes cut old cloths (t-shirts) into rectangles same size as Swifter dust clothes and put them on my Swifter duster.
Use hot soapy water with a little ammonia added. Have cloth wrong out as much as possible and wipe floor. When done just throw the cloth away. Good in a pinch!

I just use any old sponge mop to put lots of water on the floor, push it around to clean, then get a big old towel, fold it up and push it around with my foot to dry it. Best way to clean ever! (IMO)

Spahgetti mops work the best on tile will get in to grout area I was told by a tile man to use hot hot water and vinger to clean any tile

I use a Shark steam cleaner. It's AWESOME.

For wet mop, I like my swiffer.

I like the shammi type mops because you can wring them almost dry and they clean very well. I use the microfiber cloths a lot to do a real cleaning on my floor. Still getting on my knees!

Absolutely the best mop is the new Vileda mop ($20) in Canada. It's like a Swiffer but doesn't need batteries and has a refillable bottle that you can fill with any cleaner, water or even vinegar. It has a spray trigger and shoots out a good amount of cleaner and the cloths (heavy terry like material) are removable and washable and good for many times. Definately an environmentally friendly mop and so easy to use.I bought one for myself and my daughter and my son thought it was so good that he "snarfed" his sister's mop before she could even use it.
