Lost ALL my bookmarks!
And, I had so many patterns bookmarked. I tried this morning for over an hour to find a site that I had had marked as my next top, to no avail. Boohoo.
Does anyone know how to get bookmarks back? Or find a history for them? Watson |
Oh, no! I don't know how find your bookmarks. I hope someone else can help you.

What browser are you using? Each one stores bookmarks differently. Did you bookmark it using the bookmark thread for this forum?
|
Depending on what computer you are using and what software is on it, the bookmarks file may still be on your computer; it may be just that the pointer to that file got corrupted.

I'm using Windows 10 and I'm not sure what you mean by the bookmark thread in this forum.

I feel your pain. I was feeling ruthless yesterday so instead of being ruthless about people which brings regrets I scrubbed down all my bookmarks folders. I nearly fainted this morning when I opened the Quilting folder and had just 4 links :)

I used to bookmark but I had so many they were hard to manage. Now I use Pinterest.

This may be an archaic way, but if I want to save something, here or elsewhere...I email it to myself, then I will either print it out and delete the email, or move it from general email to folders for future reference, when I want it, I'll use it then delete...I used to bookmark , but that got so cluttered I couldn't find anything anymore.....I don't use Pinterest for things I want to save. I'm finding I save less and less..

Regarding Windows 10, how are you checking your bookmarks. If you click on the 3 horizontal lines in the upper righthand corner of the window, go to Bookmarks, then go to Bookmark Manager, is there nothing there? |
Found the one I was looking for by going back in my history for a week.
Whew! Watson |
That is why I worry about deleting my history. Glad you found it. I also send emails to myself with location on the web that I know I will want to go back to. I just haven't trusted bookmarks.
|
I just checked, mine are all there back to 2011, any before that are gone.

I use Chrome and the bookmarks all go to Google cloud. I can access them on from any connection on any internet device. Google Bookmark is an extension app for Chrome. Also Chrome as an email app that sends any online page directly to my email. I can email order confirmations, pictures, posts, anything to myself with one click. If you use Chrome check out the ext. page. Lots of helpful apps available.

Trying to figure out how to respond to this post so I can refer to it later. I watched a video about a week or so ago that really explained how to end your binding, and of course I lost it! After several hours of back tracking through several sites I never found it again😱
