My dear husband wanted to know if he can come over and stay for the delicious food you are cooking.
We here in the west of Australia should be having autumn weather, instead we have gone 55days straight with temperatures over 30celcius....it is constantly hot and we are now having water problems....in the north of the state it is raining so badly that they are having flooding....so much rain....and our dams can be filled to the top within 6 hours....what is happening to this crazy weather....here it is March and we are still sleeping with just the sheet over.....and the shops and catalogues are advertising "winter" clothing....while we are still swimming down the beach. |

I have one crockpot with beef roast in it to make Machaca beef for enchiladas, one crock pot with a backing hen roasting with fresh rosemary and white wine, I have mushroom & barley soup going on the stove, pork ribs out on the smoker, strawberries soaking in sugar for shortcakes tonight and a ham/spinache quiche in the oven! whew...smells crazy in there right now... off to start some seeds, for when it does get SPRING again..not this week though..cold all week...darn it... |
we have not seen the sunshine up here since last Friday night...I am really over the cold, damp, gray days...
