I only renew online - I keep a list of magazines and expiration dates in my iPhone so I know when they are due (my old lady memory doesn't work very well!). Or you can just give them a call when it's time to renew. A renewal in the mail,is also,a reminder to me to check my list and go online. We get these kind of scams all the time from all kinds of "businesses" - seems to me that this should be mail fraud.

I got one saying in order to renew my Quilters World magazine I would have to pay a price of almost 18.00 a magazine. I don't even have a subscription to that one. I wonder why they think people are that stupid.

Magazine subscriptions can be a pain in the neck, especially if you fail to notice the "automatic renewal" default which is in tiny print. I've had two such problems and have now resolved to subscribe to nothing in future.
I know print media is in trouble and I hope it survives, but trying to cancel a subscription I didn't intend to renew has driven me out of the market. |
