Making Button Bracelets
2 Attachment(s)
I learned about clear elastic cord from youtube last week and had to get some to try it out. I have a ton of buttons I bought last year and it's time to use some up. Here are two bracelets I made last night.

how fun

those are adorable.

That's very clever.

Clever, a great way to use up buttons.
|
very pretty, and it's a great idea, even for the kids.
|
Wow they are so cute. Great job.
|
Very cute! Love the idea

Thanks for the idea, I have a ton of buttons and was going to donate them. Now I think I'll keep them and make these with the little girl next door. I babysit her every now and then and this would be perfect. She's 7, so old enough not to put them in her mouth.

What pretty bracelets. Nice job, and I love the buttons on the second bracelet.

Any hints on tying off the plastic cord? I tie the knot and it is super loose. Just can't get it.
|
I love them. Where did you find such awesome buttons?
|
Super cute and clever!
|
Very clever. Thank you for sharing.

I found the small wooden colorful buttons at Amazon and the red solid buttons at Artist Supply Source.
The videos I found suggested tying a surgeons knot in the elastic. You make a regular knot but you keep winding the ends around a couple more times. I think I wound the ends around more than 3 times. Then you make a regular knot on top of that to make sure it is secure. |
Cute bracelets.....
