Mason jar organizer

I am thinking this is old news to most of you but it is new to me. I have a lot of mason jars that I bought when I used to go to auctions. Anyway, I found this tutorial and it looks awesome. I think they would make nice gifts.

Wow, my dad would have loved that. He painted with water colors and had so many various items he used. Something like that would have gotten it off his table and more area to paint. I wish I had the wall space - it would work well for so many things.

My Dad did this for paint brushes and pencils at his work bench in his garage. This very same thing. He also made a shelf with baby jars for small screws. He attached the lids by screws to the bottom of the shelf, then all he needed to do was screw the jars back to the lids when he was finished using them.

I think this would work in the sewing room.

I've seen them as herb gardens, cut flowers, bathroom accessories (cotton balls, makeup sponges, etc). I am in love with the project and can't wait to get started on it. Some use recycled wood for the back. I need to check out what we have already but I think they could be great gifts.

Neat idea. I love mason jars. I use them for storage all over the house.

I think you can loosen the bands and take the jars down to rinse out, replace flowers, etc. I don't think the back would get any dustier than the top of a picture frame. Hope not anyway.
