A great idea for a patch. I don't mend anymore but I sure have in the past. I remember my DD asking me if I would fix her husband's shorts. She brought me about a dozen blue jean shorts and I had to take about 2 inches off to make them look good. What a job that turned out to be !

Tartan, this is too funny.

I hate mending. A quilting friend of mine said to me that "to ask a quilter to mend clothes is like asking VanGough to paint your garage door". So true!!

I wouldn't mind asking Van Gogh to paint my garage door. Especially if he painted "Starry Nights" on it.

And it matches; faded the same color! Good job!

That's great. When he has to kneel for a job, all he has to do is put some padding in the pocket.

That is funny, but oh so clever!

My goodness, Feather, this is a terrific idea. I've had to patch and repatch knees many times. Will remember this gem of information for the next time.
One mending job I dislike is changing stretched out stitch-down elastics at waistbands.

My friend has an alteration/sewing business and someone left off a pair of jeans to be repaired. Not sure what what they told her on the phone regarding repair, but jeans were "new style" with rips in the legs. She thought it odd they wanted them repaired, but she patched all the rips ! They had a good laugh over that.

Mending...no. Just no. No, no, no. Uh uh. No! Period.

If he isn't happy maybe he would like one of these. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/331718328774932363/
