Batten down the hatches! Big storm coming through..calling for up to 50 MPH winds and large hail...i am north of Detroit.
i am home alone, husband drove his motorcycle up north this morning, just me and the furbabies. I am so thankful that my dogs are not freaked out by storms!

erstan947 06-18-2010 04:34 PM

We could sure use some rain but can do without all the fireworks!

virtualbernie 06-18-2010 04:41 PM

be safe

amma 06-18-2010 04:46 PM

Stay safe!!!

thequilterslink 06-18-2010 04:47 PM

Stay safe Watterstide. My kitties hate storms, they look for places to hide.

Pam 06-18-2010 04:51 PM

Gee whiz, I am heading to Mich (500 miles) at 4 am tomorrow, hope it passes by then! I HATE driving long distances in that stuff.

Up North 06-18-2010 05:06 PM

The first wave is headed for mid to southern Michigan, Up here in the NE corner it is supposed to hit around 2 am.

saf45 06-18-2010 05:09 PM

stay safe

watterstide 06-18-2010 05:16 PM

We have warnings until midnight in the detroit area.
so far it looks like just one wave coming through..
it is pretty still ,outside right now . humid as heck.
they are running a ticker on TV ,keeping us updated.

CarrieAnne 06-18-2010 05:26 PM

Ugh, its been passing through here for the last two days...storm, then its nice, bad storm last night, nice morning, storm all afternoon!
Be safe you guys!

littlehud 06-18-2010 05:52 PM

Oh my. Everyone be careful.

ctack2 06-18-2010 06:02 PM

My daughter is in the SW corner of MI and is without power right now, so it's coming your way.
Go down to the basement and turn your music up loud.....you won't even hear the wind as it whizzes by.

We had some nasty ones blow thru hear in Indiana this evening . Wind gusts of over 80 MPH

Sounds like another set is getting ready to blow thru again

doxieloverred 06-18-2010 08:45 PM

It's real windy in the southern UP right now but the skies are clear. The worst of the storm that we were supposed to get is going south of us now. I hate storms at night, in hot, sticky tornado weather!

If you go to the basement, make sure you take your sewing machine to keep it safe too!LOL Put a cooler in the basement ahead of time with drinks in case you're down there a while too. And don't forget the furkids!

All good here this morning..no damage. the sirens went off last night..but i was watching the news, and the weatherman said they will go off when winds reach 60/70 mph.
didn't know that.
i crawled in bed with the dogs, and we watched the weather, the patio doors are next to me bed. the wind was really something! not much rain..i think they said we only had 1/2 inch here in wayne county.
unfortunatly,1 fatality. a tree came down on a moving car, killed the driver, the passengers are ok. lots of lightening and fires, a few houses burned down. one in Saline, but not near me.
more storms heading to Kentucky..Blessings to all in harms way..

Up North 06-19-2010 02:44 AM
