My daughter wants me to make her a t-shirt from micro fiber wool. Anyone worked with it? Know where to buy it?
She said the store shirts are $50 to $80--out of our combined budgets. |
never heard of them

I found wicking jersey at Seattle Fabrics Club. Ever hear of them? They have lots of fabrics.

I hope they have a webpage.....I live near Seattle, maybe I can visit in person.

I think micro fiber and wool are 2 different things. My understanding is that micro fiber is a synthetic similar to nylon or polyester.

microfiber is a polyester product...i have seen it called micro-wool when i asked about this since the fiber content clearly said 100% polyester the store clerk told me it is just a 'wool-texture'...
which i thought was pretty ridiculous...and dis-honest...but i've also seen ads for wool felt that has no wool in it at all, it is simply acrylic craft felt...or a blend of wool/acrylic with less than 35% being the wool... i only buy 100% wools and felt them myself. if you do a search for micro-fiber fabrics you will find TONS of links...the one i found that (lied about being wool) had a micro-fiber in a tweed that did look like wool...but it does not feel anything like wool...it feels like micro-fiber---fleece |
