Microwave bowl

Has anyone done the microwave bowl holder using a serger Baby Lock had a class demo

I haven't taken this class. Classes are a great way to get familiar with settings and techniques on your machine. You have support from the instructor if you get stuck.

There are many projects on the BL site that look fun too.

if it's free and if it's convenient, go for it!
otherwise, check out any of several YouTube videos... you can use a serger for almost any seam.

Do not put anything in a m/w that has Polyester in it, fabric, batting or thread. Firemen will tell you it will start a fire. Just ask one. Polyester is plastic..........

To add to Needles comment. Be careful with the batting - much of the cotton batting that you think is 100% cotton is not. Check the contents label, it may say 90%/10%. Also, we sell hundreds of these sets and we attach a little tag that says 'Warning - use for reheating, 3 -5 minutes only'. And yes, not only does your fabric and batting need to be 100% cotton, but also your thread. We have only had one person come back for a refund because she said it 'burned' in the microwave. We pointed out the mark was exactly the shape and size of the pin used to hold the tag. Her response was that she didn't know she had to remove the pin!!!!! We refunded her anyway, bless her heart.......

I go no longer than 2 minutes in the microwave, with an all cotton bowl cozy. Then, if more warming is required, I let it 'rest' for a minute and give it another 2 minutes.

Even though this is just common sense, I had a friend that used her bowl - boiled over, she wiped it off and used it again. Yep, it caught on fire.
I have to say I use mine all the time when I'm eating ice cream. This keeps my hands from freezing.
