This might make you feel better

The time changes 3/8/15. Not this weekend but the next weekend!! Only 9 more days! I don't know about you, but I always feel better on daylight savings time.

lynnie 02-26-2015 02:02 PM

Yes, love the daylight. maybe it'll bring some warmer weather with it. we can only hope.

nativetexan 02-26-2015 03:02 PM

Really? That early? Goodness, I do wish they would just give up and stay on the same time all year round.

Diannia 02-26-2015 03:53 PM

I am 1 of those people that don't like Daylight Savings Time...my internal clock stays stuck on regular time. Plus, I'm an early riser and I hate getting up that extra hour early!!!

GrammaNan 02-26-2015 04:43 PM

Hallelujah!

Quiltaddict 02-26-2015 05:45 PM

I am another one of those who do not like daylight saving time, it takes me more than a week to get used to the change. I am not a morning person so hate getting up so early

pennycandy 02-26-2015 11:30 PM

Hurray!!! I love having that extra daylight in the evening.

janedee 02-27-2015 12:09 AM

Love it when the clocks change this time of year, as it means Spring is just around the corner, meaning warmer weather

ckcowl 02-27-2015 01:55 AM

I will another that wishes we would just stay on normal time. I work 12 hour night shifts, 6:30 pm to 7am, which means I will have to be at work 13 1/2 hours that night! Ugh! Not something I look forward to.

paoberle 02-27-2015 04:31 AM

I am a morning person so I hate the time change. It will be dark until almost 7:30 in the morning. I wish we would just stay on regular time all year.

lovingmama 02-27-2015 04:49 AM

When your regular day starts at 4:30 a.m. You are not very happy about it. It takes a lot out of people to get used to the time change.

Amen! I agree with that!

scrap adict 02-27-2015 06:40 AM

Last year we were on a cruise to the Panama Canal. We went thru several time zones resulting in time changes. By the time we retuned we had no ill effects. We didn't realize there would be so many changes. The year before we didn't have any but didn't go as far West.

Rose Marie 02-27-2015 07:58 AM

Arizona dosnt change its time, its the same yr round. I like it this way.
I think it is savings time yr round.

quiltstringz 02-27-2015 08:09 AM

UGH ! I hate the spring forward, the older I get the longer it takes me to adjust. I loved it when I lived in AZ and didn't have to deal with that!

ManiacQuilter2 02-27-2015 08:52 AM

I am a morning person and I do hate getting up an hour earlier !! At least the days will have gradually more sunshine.

AngeliaNR 02-27-2015 09:06 AM

I really dislike DST--my favorite day of the year is when it ends! :)

mrs. fitz 02-27-2015 09:38 AM

Two things I never understood - why we need a time change twice a year and why gas prices are listed as, e.g., $2.49.9 or $198.9. Why not just round it up to the next number?

crafty pat 02-27-2015 09:51 AM

I love the extra daylight in the evening to get more time in my yard. I do worry about the little ones who have to go to the bus stop in the dark every morning.

wanda lou 02-27-2015 01:21 PM

I am another one, that hates the change of time.

QuiltingNinaSue 02-27-2015 02:08 PM

Hate DST and we are retired not going to work every morning. God's time is better than the man's substitute. IF you want an earlier hour, open and close your business an hour earlier, so you can go play golf or work on the yard. We really do not need the government telling us when to go to work. My two cents worth. Not all states go on to DST.

mike'sgirl 02-27-2015 02:25 PM

I think we need to do away with it. Its antiquated and serves no purpose that I can see. It only makes me late for church!

Oh I am so with you.

nana20010 02-27-2015 04:33 PM

thanks thought it was this weekend

Anniedeb 02-27-2015 06:58 PM

I'm one of those that it just doesn't bother. I'm a night owl...go to bed between 2-3 A.M....awake around 7 A.M. Never needed much sleep....DH on the other hand hates it, and takes weeks to adjust to!

BETTY62 02-27-2015 08:45 PM

I just want it to be o one time schedule or the other all year long and not change back and forth.

jbingwell 02-28-2015 03:11 AM

Another sign of spring coming soon: I saw a whole flock of robins yesterday! In Michigan, that usually means spring is not far away!

lwbuchholz 02-28-2015 03:50 AM

I start work at 2:30 AM. I am not happy with the time changes. I wish they would leave it one way or the other.

Keep the time the same year round. This back and forth time change just creates stress for me.

lclang 02-28-2015 05:38 AM

Despise the time changes! There is only so much daylight in a day, no matter how you slice it. If it is important to be up earlier or later let each individual decide that. It takes me six weeks to adjust.

NanaCindyLou 02-28-2015 05:48 AM

I do seem to feel better during DLT but I think it's really because it's spring & summer & has nothing to do with the time showing on the clock. I just wish we would stay one time year round and stop the back & forth changing. THAT stresses me - and it gets worse the older I get...

carolynjo 02-28-2015 07:13 AM

I,too, wish the time did not change; I don't like DST. It takes me weeks to adjust.

I too wish there was never a time change. Growing up we never seemed to have a problem with the time. I personally can't understand the need-except for some who want the day to be longer during the summer - which it isn't just the time is an hour different-makes no real sense.

mhollifiel 02-28-2015 09:35 AM

I am over the moon over the time change coming up. I lost my DH last summer and right about the time we got off of DST, my eye doctor limited me to daytime driving. From Thanksgiving to MLK Day, I felt like I had been dropped into a bottomless pit or, even worse, had been told to take 12 giant steps toward the rest home. I am a morning person but I felt so trapped by those 8 hours of daylight. I couldn't do anything at night, even church activities. I live in a remote part of the county. Funny thing, now that we're about to move into more afternoon daylight and it doesn't matter as much, I see the eye doc this week and she says I am OK for night driving. I think the good Lord has missed me at evening church activities, LOL!

IBQUILTIN 02-28-2015 01:12 PM

I have had a bad case of "winter doldrums" and I am soooooooo looking forward to the time change. Some of us really need that daylight. I envy those of you who are winter people. I am like a turtle in winter Want to pull into my shell and hibernate. Hurray for Spring
