She gave birth to twins earlier this week in Ohio. Both babies weigh almost 10 lbs. each. She had a C-section.

barnbum 07-09-2010 12:03 PM

Oh goodness. I had one at 10 lb 11.5 oz--naturally--but I can't imagine carrying two of them!! Yowzers.

trupeach1 07-09-2010 12:37 PM

OMG she had them at Bethesda North in Cincy, I live east of Cincy. I bet it made the local news.

Suzanne57 07-09-2010 12:42 PM

I still have the article about the woman who gave birth to a 17 lb baby and it was her 12th! All her other children weighed over 11 lbs. OW-W!

barnbum 07-09-2010 12:55 PM

Oh gosh--all of them?? Yikes!!

Suzanne--what a lovely avatar photo you have.

Maggiesmom 07-09-2010 01:07 PM

WOW

Rebecca VLQ 07-09-2010 01:13 PM

Wow...that is like, HUGE for twins. My brothers were like 11# combined~

wvdek 07-09-2010 01:16 PM

My cousin had four kids and each one weighed over 11 lbs. She had them naturally. Yikes!

Twins each 10 lbs? Guess that is why the c-section.

Kaye-Kaye 07-09-2010 01:20 PM

Thank you lord for c-sections!

DianD 07-09-2010 02:17 PM

Okay, bear in mind that I don't have kids, but shouldn't babies that big come with their own apartment and car? Maybe even a job? Wow!
(Probably a good thing I don't have kids, Right?)

In this day and age they probably came out texting.

Wouldn't that be nice--so so os many years before it comes to that.

My girl only out grew newborn clothes when in womb--my Mom went out and bought her 6 month clothes to bring her home in.

renee765 07-09-2010 06:09 PM

I had two babies that were almost 10 pounds each, too. It's just that mine were three years apart.

I don't know how this Mom did it, but she sure deserves the Mother of the Year award!

MamaBear61 07-10-2010 07:31 AM

Wow, my girls were 4lbs 12oz and 4lbs 13oz at birth and were born natually, but we didn't know it was twins until they were delivered. My daughter gave birth to twins in March by C-section and they were 5lb 9oz and 7lbs and 2oz and she is 5'4" and her normal weight is 130lbs so needless to say she was very uncomfortable at the end

reach for the stars 2 07-10-2010 09:10 AM

Oh my 2 little chunks of chocolate. They are so cute. I had 1 10 lb baby al-natual that was enough for me.

CarrieAnne 07-10-2010 09:39 AM

They sure are cute!
