Too close for comfort, for me LOL
I didn't know that they would go after dead fish like that.

Wow, that was cool.

amandasgramma 09-19-2010 09:13 PM

me neither. ugh...sounds horrible, doesn't it!
DH was at front of a pontoon boat...all the others in the boat were in the back....and he zoomed in so he wasn't that close...LOL

Very cool.
Actually bears will eat anything that doesn't eat them first. Now is the time that they are packing on the pounds for their winter sleep. Yummy... ;)

We fish the Snake River all the time. I'll be keeping my eyes open for bears now. Would love to see them. Only from the boat of course. Thanks for sharing that.

Awesome video, you were so lucky in so many ways. Not to many would say this but I wish I could get that close to a real bear. I've only seen one in a zoo.

I have a friend who's son lives in Alaska and we get pictures from him of bears by his cabin all the time. And once his daughter was fishing with him and you could see the bears across the river. So cool. CLose to nature. Thanks for sharing. YOur DH is very brave

They camped at Carters Landing. The bear was on the other side of the river....however, they found bear poop at the boat ramp!!! Yes, this time of year the bear and the snakes are coming down. That's why don't go there in September!!!!
