barnbum 02-06-2010 05:32 PM

Hmm--sort of resembles a horse's muzzle. butterfly--you can kiss plenty here when you come.

butterflywing 02-06-2010 05:48 PM

i'll pass on the moose, thanks. but the horses, now that's a different story.

soniboo 02-06-2010 07:12 PM

Great picture! Love it!

Debra Mc 02-06-2010 07:27 PM

I never realized New Jersey had moose. Guess I thought it was all industrial. That is too cool. Brave man, as wild animals like that can hurt you.

JanetM 02-06-2010 07:38 PM

Now that is a Christmas card if I ever saw one!!

Naturalmama 02-06-2010 08:54 PM

I LOVE this picture! :-D

It does now, because wvdek says it's your DH, and I thought your DH was named David. You called the guy in the picture "Bill." How many husbands do you have??? Or is it DH and I got his name wrong?

Inquiring minds want to know.

dh is david. one is plenty, thanks. he's not a moose, although there are times when you wouldn't know it.

on youtube, where this comes from, he's called 'bill'. if it was good enough for his mother, why should i change it?

as far as i know (which probably ain't much), there are no meese, but too many geese. as for industrialization, it's too industrialized for me! :hunf:

Olivia's Grammy 02-07-2010 04:32 PM

You two have such a good sense of humor. I don't even let my kitties kiss me in the face so a moose, ick.

There is a resemblance between the man in the picture and David the DH.

I would bet there are moose in the Pine Barrens part of New Jersey.

We actually had a sighting of a young bull moose passing through my home area of New Jersey several years ago and there have never been moose in New Jersey ...

apparently there was once a lost moose in new jersey. not in the pine barrens. not reported there. also, the moose lodge. does that count?

Debra Mc 02-07-2010 06:17 PM

Well, what do I know. I find it very interesting that there is both a moose lodge and something called The Thirsty Moose in a state that has no moose of its own.

Very impressed with your text coloring. I'll expect full-blown tag designs from you soon!

nativetexan 02-08-2010 10:42 AM

Oh my word! what a picture. that's lovely.

KarenBarnes 02-09-2010 10:17 AM

I remember as a kid in Alaska the moose coming into our yard and they would scare me to death! This is a very brave man!

Hi there, this is Andrew in Cambridge UK, who lived in Calgary CDN for 20 yrs ending 15 yrs ago. My sibs were wondering where this photo was sourced, and who 'Bill' is? They think it looks like our Dad, I think not, but they're worried a photo they took @ a scout camp in W Alberta ~ 25 yrs ago made its way onto the net somehow. Please understand that I'm neither trawling nor interested in who this is, if it is really 'Bill'. Thanks, Andrew Zolnai www.zolnai.ca

EllieGirl 01-08-2014 04:19 AM

That is amazing that a moose would come that close to the house! What a great picture!
