More crazy fashions from Milan 2018

I really don't see any of us wearing these outfits to a Guild meeting:

One of the models almost smiled. They all look so unhappy.

Don’t know bout you, but I’m rushing to buy them all. not

quiltsRfun 02-21-2018 01:16 PM

Why do they put size 2 models (which the designers prefer) in a size 16 outfit? If they're going to make clothes that size, put them on models that size.

dunster 02-21-2018 01:23 PM

Those have to be some of the ugliest outfits I've ever seen. Some of the fabrics were pretty though. Too bad they weren't used in a quilt instead...

rryder 02-21-2018 01:46 PM

Wow, those are the most hideous outfits I’ve ever seen...not to mention unflattering....um...

Rob

cashs_mom 02-21-2018 01:48 PM

I'd be unhappy, too, if I was wearing those clothes. Why don't any of them fit??

I have some clothes from when I was about 15 lbs heavier than I am now. Maybe I should get them out and wear them. It looks like oversized is coming in style. Ick.

ekuw 02-21-2018 01:51 PM

Not a fan, Too big and awful colors...

Geri B 02-21-2018 02:03 PM

My iPad refused to showed all those hideous pics! So I only saw 3/4....who is the designer(s) of this farce? They must certainly hate women. Burnt orange and black--- boring! Those models looked like anorexic patients with shaved heads! Not feminine at all....and yet people will buy this junk!

bearisgray 02-21-2018 02:03 PM

Very - - - something.

Thanks for the link.

Chasing Hawk 02-21-2018 02:42 PM

The Queen went to her first fashion show the other day. Some of the models had motorcycle helmets on and all had on garnish outfits. I doubt the Queen will be wearing any of those outfits.

Doggramma 02-21-2018 04:44 PM

I don't think there's much style there! What's up nowadays with clothes being unisex

Jingle 02-21-2018 05:50 PM

Sorry but, I wouldn't wear to my funeral. Just plain sloppy looking.

Anniedeb 02-21-2018 07:00 PM

Looked like tin foil, trash bags, stealing jacket from hubby's closet......I'm not their target market. Just awful.....yuck!!

Lady Diana 02-22-2018 03:38 AM

Absolutely hideous. What designer? Stealing styles from the 70's....and some just pieces of cloth. One or two are stylish, but in awful colors. Everything looks thrown together...NOT FASHION, NO STYLE based clothing...I like the word, 'JUNK'.

DebbieJJ 02-22-2018 03:54 AM

I think if the media would quit ohhing and ahhing over these horrindous(sp) "fashions", then just maybe someone with some clothing taste would come along and we would have something to ohh and ahh about!

youngduncan 02-22-2018 04:09 AM

I think clothes like that make a fashion statement: "I have no taste in clothes!"

running1 02-22-2018 06:11 AM

OH I don't know, Chasing Hawk...all that bulky stuff...I wouldn't have to keep trying to suck in my belly rolls! hahahahahaha!!!!

They look like zombies! The fashion is horrible. My opinion!

Snooze2978 02-22-2018 07:03 AM

Is the new fad wearing clothes 3 sizes too large? That's what most of them looked to be. At least if you're over weight wearing these clothes they'd never know it.

sewbizgirl 02-22-2018 07:27 AM

I think it's unanimous... We hate these looks! The one that actually had a little style and fit... a plaid pantsuit... was confounded by an outerwear piece which was nothing more than a white comforter held to the shoulders with ugly black straps. Gross. But that one made me laugh... the rest were just depressing.

Can't tell you how much I love and admire the queen! At 91, still working hard serving her country.

nena 02-22-2018 08:52 AM

Yucky Yuck

madamekelly 02-22-2018 11:09 AM

Those models look upset because everyone of them is dreaming of actually tasting food.......and look at the outfits they are forced to wear. Is it just me, or have designers run out of ideas and now are just dressing models in rumpled bedclothes....?

JanieH 02-22-2018 12:04 PM

What struck me besides the hideous clothes were how young some of the models looked. More like young girls than over 18 models.

Jannie 02-22-2018 07:05 PM

Not sure where they are finding their designers, but I don't see the average teenager wearing these clothes either. I hate shopping because everything is so unappealing.

luvstoquilt 02-23-2018 04:23 AM

I don't think those designers like women!

Nanny's dollface 02-23-2018 05:11 AM

There were a few things that I did like but overall many of the styles and structure reminded me of suits from the 90's. did like the black short coat with the side buttons and the brocade coat. Fashion is in the eye of the beholder when it comes to runway shows. In the stores, it's so hard to find stylish fashion for older women who want to be stylish not dowdy.

sewnclog 02-23-2018 01:55 PM

Terrible clothes and even the fabric wouldn't make a good 'rag'. I've NEVER seen people modeling that smiled; it's like they HATE their jobs. How miserable and have to be skinny as a stick; like that's a normal size? Don't see how they make high figure salaries either. Crazy.

kittiebug 02-23-2018 04:10 PM

VERY ,VERY UGLY

joyce blint 02-23-2018 04:59 PM

Did you look at those clothes? No wonder they're not smiling.

Pat M. 02-23-2018 06:27 PM

They are SOOOO uguly. The only one I liked was the bright blue jacket.

Rose_P 02-23-2018 08:10 PM

I get the feeling they are not trying to impress any of us. I nearly gagged when I saw the oversized peasant dress in shiny fabric that any of us could create in less than 20 minutes.

pocoellie 02-24-2018 05:27 AM

You wouldn't smile either, if you had to wear any of those "items". I can't image what these "designers" are thinking.

SusieQOH 02-24-2018 05:43 AM

One thing I really like was the long gloves. But overall, ummm ......... no thanks, although one advantage to big clothes is they hide things :)

lynnie 02-24-2018 09:52 AM

who buys these overpriced 'costumes'. I never see anyone in those types of clothes. and the mens styles, just crazy. they look like they'd be perfect in a movie setting. ugly. that's why the models look so unhappy.

because they're hungry!

Teen 02-28-2018 07:21 PM

Personally, I think it's a power/ego thing for designers. They set the trend for the coming year and I believe they get off on that whole idea about influencing the masses and the market. They just left behind their creativity when their bank balance increased. These were repulsive designs on ill-suited models...
