more hats
1 Attachment(s)
Before I left for the south, I dropped off two bags of handmade hats and scarves at the place I volunteer (food shelf) which also operates an overnight warming shelter in the winter.
Since I have been down here (6 weeks) I managed to make another batch of hats, 1 headband and a neck warmer. Just brought them to the local Salvation Army yesterday as the weather has turned cold. The lady said a lot of their bell ringers are homeless and they could use them. And she said YES! to me bringing more in next month. Helps justify my yarn addiction and something to do while watching TV at night. I used up a lot of scrap yarn on these. |
You've done a wonderful thing with your left over yarn ! My Mom passed away 3 yrs ago at 90 and she crocheted neck scarves by the bushels for needy. Besides that, I think every friend, neighbor and anyone who came along got a scarf at one time or another.

So nice, so thoughtful of you, know they will be needed.

Well done! Warming people as well as hearts!

Wonderful donations! It's fascinating to me that one ball of yarn and one hook and a hat, slippers, scarf, mitten, even a stuffed toy can be made. I use to crochet all the time before I started quilting. Seeing your items makes me want to start again.
