Mosaic artistry

This video shows how the lovely mosaic tiles are made. We have some many quilting patterns with similar designs. We do it with fabric and they with clay.

Very cool, thanks!

Thank you. I had no idea of the lengthy process of this handsome craft. A new respect for another set of craftsmen. We can not accurate calculate the cost of a quilt and neither can these artists calculate the true cost of their tile panels! Beautiful and so labor intensive!

True artisanship..........something that is a lost art in this country...nowhere would you find men doing such tedious handwork. The finished panels were beautiful! I wonder where/what these are used for...floors, walls? And where?

Thank you so much for sharing, that was quite interesting. I'll never complain about my job being tedious...the amount of patience it must take to produce such fine products...WOW

That was amazing! I always find it interesting how much still has to be done or created by hand. These men are similar to the Tentmakers of Cairo, where this is probably a family tradition for many of them. Thanks for sharing/

That's a lot of work that goes into creating just one panel.

And not a computer or water cooler in sight! True artistry!
