I was surprised to see my email coupon today say "Valid at Sterling only". Which is pretty far from me. Has anyone else have one that specifies which store it's good at?

It's not like I need to buy anything but I was curious.

Never noticed it before, but I have always been able to use mine at both stores in our area (each store is about 35 minute drive in opposite directions from me).

Some have had this, some not, but the stores have always accepted the ones I bring in to them. I live in the center of two different Joann's... 30+ miles N or S of me LOL

Yes, I have and I asked a clerk about it. She said they would take it and she had never seen one with a specific city before.

It's the first time I've seen a specific location on the coupon. I was curiuos to see what everyone elses said.

Some of mine state the location nearest to me. I think it is to help cut down on people posting coupons/codes online for others to use. In probably 99% of all instances, (general) you will be shopping at the location or 2 that is closest. I've seen coupon codes posted and know that people in MA had access to those from WA and the like.

Never noticed it before but my closest is 2 hr away the next is almost 4 hr away so what is considered local (to me) some consider long distance.LOL

My last few coupons have had a location on them which is not the closest to me. I asked at my local joann's with the first one ad they had never seen it before so we tried the coupon and had no problem. The location listed was of the larger store is fifty mile radius and could be effort to tryn to get more business for larger store.
