I'm so sorry to have such a belly-laugh at your misery!
I have owned a useless cat for years. She's a firm believer in catch-and-release! Now we have a Cairn Terrier to patrol the house! |

Yeah, maybe I should have been more specific.

Today on veterans day our little house vet gave up his fight and now is in mouse heaven. It was a finish I wish would not have ended this way, I just wanted him to go into one of the humane traps and be released back to where he came from. Little bugger almost ate his way into the dogs plastic container, it had been busy last night trying to get in. So I deceided that after, junior mints, vanilla, slim jims, peanut butter, apple w/peanut butter, bacon, that I would put a couple of pcs of the dogs dry food on the trap. That's what got him. Tomorrow the kitchen gets bleached from head to toe, and I can start the holiday decorating. Sorry about your kin's demise Quiltncrazy. End of story!!!!!!

Check around any areas that pipes come in/out and make sure they are all sealed up. You don't want his friends coming around looking for him.

well, poor little sucker, you finally outsmarted him and hate to say it, but he got his just dog desserts.
I think he wanted to be a dog. He saw how good yours have it, and he liked the food. Good thing you managed to evict him before he got as big as one  mrs.jrt...that was a great story. that is one good thing about having outside pets, their trophies stay out too,...at least they have for many years now. I'd be paranoid every time the cat jumped on the bed after that little trick. Mr. Mouse is enough critters in my bed at 3 in the morning. |
I've been following this saga since it started and feeling a little smug because we haven't had any mice for a while. We had one earlier this fall, but it was quickly caught. So although I'm happy for you that your little friend is finally gone...guess what we have now? http://www.freesmileys.org/emoticons...animal-032.gif
This morning all three cats were VERY interested in the cabinet under the sink. Two cats sniffed and pawed at the door and the third, the best mouser, cried because she couldn't get close to it (she doesn't like to be near the other two cats). Finally the oldest cat settled down in front of the cabinet door to wait. She's still there, so the other two left to sleep somewhere else. Tonight I'll clean the cabinet out and let the door open and hopefully our little visitor will be gone by tomorrow. |
Really sorry about your house guest. I can not believe how much they drop. None anywhere this morning. Spent the whole morning cleaning the Kitchen top to bottom, now I feel better. I just did not want any of my real house guests seeing any little surprises around.
Where in Ohio are you?? I was born and raised in Elyria, Ohio. We moved here in 85. Keep me informed about your guest, anxious to see how the cats do. Can you believe after all the stuff I baited with, it was the bloody dog food that got him. It must be tastey. They say it's human consumption dog food, but never gave it a try. |
I am happy to hear your unwanted visitor is gone before the invited ones arrivals :D :D
So sorry to hear that they have moved into your house Sandy :x :x |
