Movie recommendation
 

I recently got a movie from Netflix and when my husband saw the name of it, he thought I'd finally lost what remained of my mind. The movie is called Salmon Fishing in the Yemen. Ewan Macgregor and Emily Blunt are in it. I have to say I REALLY liked the movie a lot. It actually made me smile while watching it. The movie ended and DH said that he really liked it as well (amazing, since there weren't things blowing up or people being chased by bad guys). If you've not seen it, I highly recommend it.

Give us some idea of what it is about, please.

great. i just saw Quartet with Maggie Smith (of Downton Abbey) and mainly went to see all the older actors that were in it.

I also loved Salmon Fishing in the Yemen! Ewen McGregor is so nice to look at and the movie has no sex, no violence, and an interesting story too.

Did you like it? I want to see it too...same reason! Not out on NF yet but I saved it there.

I've got that in my NF queue as well. Another good movie was The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel - more great British actors.

TanyaL - it's kind of hard to describe. The gist is that there is a very wealthy man that wants to bring salmon fishing to the Yemen, and Ewan Macgregor doesn't think it can be done. He gets pulled in to work on the project. (okay, I know I make it sound as exciting as watching paint dry, but I think you'd enjoy it.)
