Muffin got the hump, big time

Muffin's pillowcase bed was filthy and smelly, just like a dog likes it but there was no option but to put it in the washing machine, she was not amused. She kept on going around and around looking for it and giving me the evil eye.

Fortunately I had another one nearly finished so with a quick bit of stuffing and 5 minutes of sewing disaster adverted.

She was unsure at first but after I put a bone on it, problem solved. Now must start on another one as I need to do the car one!

I hope I don't bore you ladies with my pics of Muffin but she is such a cutie pie. Here is a the last one of the day, promise.

She has totally accepted the new bed, phew, well who wouldn't with a nice lamb bone and Xmas pud for dessert, that's the toy at the bottom. :)

Too cute. Muffy will get used to the new one and still love the old one. I made a quilt for my cat's kitty condo. Working on #2 so I can wash one and have a clean one to put it. When I put a clean one in, she jumps in and uses her front feet to mash it and push it around until it meets her high standards! Pets, they are just too funny!

Muffin is so cute and spoiled. She loves her pillows.

What kind of dog is Muffin? We had a miniature wired hair dachshund named Muffin and she looked very much like your dog.

I got Muffin from a Glasgow Dog sanctuary, she and her siblings were found in a cardboard box on a street, the vet reckoned that her mum would have been a pure breed Yorkshire terrier who had a night on the town, possibly with a bearded collie, but we really don't know.

What I don't understand is the owner dumping them, they were so cute that they were snapped up straight away in fact I was lucky in getting Muffin as she was the last one left, but the best one of course :)

Cute story and Muffin is beautiful. I just put Wolfgang's bedding on the deck for a good airing out. We are having beautiful spring weather today and he has to be content with laying on the carpet for a few hours.

I made a pillow sham for the puppies in the sewing room, and they love them. I used a doggie print fleece, and can take it off and wash it regularly, so the doggie smell doesn't build up on them

We love seeing your Muffin any time. She is such a beauty. I have watched her for many years now. You know me as boopers on the other forum. I never get tired of seeing her. Please keep blessing us with pictures.

I make mine by putting a pillowcase in my waste basket by my quilting area and all the snippets of threads/fabrics/batting go in there and when it is filled just stitched around. So easy to wash and Muffin loves rumpling it about to get it just right. She's been doing that for hours today getting the new one just right :)

stitchinwitch 03-11-2013 03:23 AM

oh, just keep sharing - she is adorable - have you thought about making a bigger pillow for her Highness, so her little rump could be warm too? It looks like she has no problem whatsoever with the size of her "snuggly"!

That is just one of her beds, her nice big one is tucked in the corner under one of my quilting tables and is a no-go area for anybody that is HER'S! What is nice about her pillowcase bed is if she has anything to chew she always takes it on to that so saving my carpets, clever girl.

What a sweetie. I save my snips, as well, and make little "sandwich" beds for my 4 fur people. I make them thin enough that I can toss them into the washer, but thick enough for them to be comfy. The babies love them.

Well done you, I find the secret is to not over stuff them as they become lumpy.
