I just got a new instructional DVD on how to make a Lone Star Quilt. I was so excited! Popped it in my windows media player AND........ Blah! I got this message: "failed to create overlay surface on video card." I haven't a clue as to what this means or how to fix it. There is nothing wrong with the DVD it plays fine on the TV DVD player. BUT I can't use it from the TV. I think I will go sit in the corner and cry...............

if you have windows..go to microsoft web site..and look for the program you have..XP or windows 7, and do a check for updates. they also have a message board i believe.
or click on: "Start" "control panel" "system properties" "hardware" "drivers" 'windows update" try that. someone with more experience than me, will be long to help you..it is probably the program you are using to view the dvd/cd. need to updte or download another progrm/media player to view it. |
