daffodil are blooming and even survived the two windstorms we've had.
|
Daffodils are up and blooming everywhere and the pansies survived two major snow and ice events. As a matter of fact, they are prettier now than they were before the storms.
I know summer is on the way because Sam's has had bathing suits for nearly a month and WalMart put the swimsuits out last week. Come quickly summer! froggyintexas |
My daffodils have been blooming for a couple of weeks. The fruit trees are blooming all over town, and my hyacinth is blooming, and buds are on the other bulbs. My coral tree is sprouting and will be blooming in May. I am so happy Spring is arriving. I am not a cold weather gal. ();-)

I'm so glad spring is starting to show its face.
Nothing says spring like the first blooms we spot in our gardens. It will be awhile before anything else blooms here in Mo., but I'm excited to see my Crocus, and the green foliage of other spring bulbs. :D |
I don't wanna make you guys mad at me but I am ready to pick my second crop of green beans and peas. The first vine ripe tomatoes will be up this week and I am already up to my ears in jalepenos! Sorry but that is what I have instead of seasons!

On Flag Day in VT, NH, and Maine, you can count on tulips roses, all the spring and summer flowers being in bloom at the same time!
Almost forgot to tell you.... Now I live on the south Texas coast. I have a lovely crop of thistles about a foot high all around the edges of my front sidewalk.... |

They are the only flower I could rely on as the deer eat any and everything else. Last year the yearlings ate the day lilly buds off each day as they appeared, then they started in on the leaves. I had planted tulips the fall before last and I looked out one day and there they were, pinching off the buds before I even had a chance to see them coming up.
spose that the deer gave them the idea? |
