My daughter got married!`

My baby girl, of 27, got married on Saturday, June 2. She was a gorgeous bride (but all moms think that)! She has a son who is 6 years old and his father is one of those deadbeat dads. Jessica's new husband has been daddy to him for about 3 years now and after they said their wedding vows, they both got down to his level and said vows to him, presented him with a ring that matches daddy's and completely melted my heart!!!

That is so, so sweet! My DD just got engaged this past Saturday (finally! She wanted to wait till she was out of law school). Her DH-to-be is a total doll so we're just on cloud 9! Oh wait... now we have to plan a wedding, don't we? Eek! Any suggestions? Many congrats to your DD & her new family!

This reminds me of when my niece remarried. She has 2 sons, one daughter... he has two daughters, one son. They did up these little letters for each child. Explaining they are not replacing and never expect to replace their mom/dad so they will never expect to be called mom/dad. But they joined in marriage to add more love in their life and a special love only a husband and wife have. Each child was presented with a ring also. The adults also said vows to the children. It was beautiful. Not a dry eye.. difference being...these children have both parents in their life.

That is so sweet. It not only included him, but showed that the fellow was marrying not just your daughter, but her son as well. He is a lucky little boy.
