My Dear QB Friend
My life would be less cheerful if I had not met Lynnie on QB. We make an effort to get together in person. Today, she met me at the dentist. We had a nice lunch, exchanged treats, lots of chit chat. 'Love you dear lady!!

That is great. Lynnie is always so up beat on here and pleasant.
It's a real friend who will go to the dentist with you!
I would love to meet her too!! She seems like such a sweetheart!
This makes me happy :-)
What a wonderful post! Most of us guessed what you found out for good, that she really is a nice Lady.
There might come a day where my world will stop moving for a few hours when I can get together with you and Lynnie, and maybe your friend Michele. Right now I am trying to cram making quilts for my nieces, and nephews for Chanukah. We are talking about seven, and only three are completed. Two tops to be quilted, and two haven't been started. Some have the strips you gave me.. Thanks again..

Makes me kinda wish I lived in NY--only kinda here--you all seem to enjoy such a sweet rapport. I have corresponded with Lynnie, and she seems a real sweetie.
How nice to be able to meet and lunch with our own. I love it. We are after all, family.
Dotty is a real sweetheart. I look forward to meeting with her when we get the chance. Dotty is a real sweetie.
Barri, let us know whats good for you and the three of us will get together. If anyone else wants to try and meet up. let's do it. Love you too Dotty, my dear quilting friend. |
There is just nothing like a real friend - congrats to both of you.
That sounds like fun! (all but the part about the dentist). Love you, Dot!

You two are lucky to have found a friend through QB. I tried that a few years back, but it was a 'no go.' Now I've found 5 other ladies (two have taught quilting!!) who enjoy my company. We have a brown bag lunch and share our progress on projects (and get help if we're stuck) about once a month. December is skipped for obvious reasons. It's so nice to have friends who can speak 'quilt.'
How nice! I've had the pleasure of meeting two QB'ers in person so far and really enjoyed both visits quite a bit! Between those visits and my guild...I have never had a hobby where I got to meet so many great people. I think quilters in general are just awesome people.
How sweet!

Heart-warming! I'm originally from New York ... greatly miss "home"! So glad you two have connected!
So happy for BFF news!! I, too, have only "visited" with Lynnie online and she is a lovely person, inside and out, and does such wonderful things for other people! Dottie, I have read lots of your posts and feel like I know you also!
Sounds like y'all had a wonderful time together :)! And so lucky to live close to meet and "talk" quilt!!! |
