Just some photos I took today of our deer population that come to lay down most days.. A 5 point buck in one of the photos had some kind of twine around his antlers.. he was less than 3 feet from me when I stepped onto the deck.. amazing creations!

Wow we live in a neighborhood that gets visits all the time but I have yet to see a buck lots of little ones! such a wonderful experience to see them up close!

Is it really dry in your area? do they come for your birdbath water?
|
colleen, yea, they drink out of the birdfeeder at times.. they eat my rose bush leaves, and our large garden that isn't visible, they eat tomato tops, jalapeno tops ( go figure! ), half zuchinni , but leave us the other half. They eat our other plants we grow as well, but leave some for us, lol... It is dry here, but its already in the low 30's at night since we live in the mountains here.

Wow, I love those pictures! In a house my husband built on a hill in the woods, the deer would come by the house in the morning, in the fog. It was so pretty! I miss that house! Thanks for sharing your pictures! Very nice.

thanks " kitty".. i grew up on an Air Force base in northern California, so never got to see wildlife, unless it was airman who were drunk, lol.. But moving here to the mountains of eastern Oregon in 1976, so many animals, some graceful like these deer, and some scary, like a cougar that came right into our back property, that was a little over the top if you ask me..

Oh, beautiful!
